Style & Beauty : Natural-looking Full Bangs

My freshly cut bangs and amethyst contacts.
I just got full bangs and here's what I do whenever I get them:

1. Communicate a lot with the stylist.
2. Bring a picture.
3. Suggest 'point-cut' bangs rather than a blunt cut.
4. Suggest layered on the side.
5. Allow more room for improvement by having bangs cut at eye-level rather than the eyebrows.
6. Have bangs simply blown out on cool.
7. Double Check Before Leaving
8. Stick With The Same Stylist.

*Note: full bangs look better & better as they grow :)

Food & Drinks: Oh Sandwich! (The Best Sandwich In The World)

Oh George! no doubt has the best sammiches in the world. And their bestest? The 'Cowboy' Sandwich! I'm planning to recreate this sandwich in the future ~ In the mean time, take a look at their awesome place and food...

Beautifully lit function room.

Light & airy ambience

Appetizer: Creamy tomato soup - also one of the best soups on my list!

Teaser: Potato salad w/ white wine, onions & eggs. STILL one of the best!

The best for last: Cowboy Sandwich filled with peppered Hungarian sausages, mustard mayo, melted cheese and red kidney beans!

The Little Prince (or Princess)

So I thought it was time to have Prince (a.k.a. 'Babz') groomed at Caminade since his unruly hair was beginning to remind me of Jack Nicholson - don't ask me 'why,' judge for yourself:

This is what I wanted for him:

Teddy Bear Cut
However, I was told the hair on some parts need to be a bit longer. So they suggested this cut instead:

Semi-shaved
Not a very 'manly' look for Prince but it's a much cleaner and manageable cut. :)

Prince playing around in front of the camera. I don't know what it is about dogs and having haircuts... they always tend to get hyper right after!

I was trying to get the perfect shot of his new 'do but he was getting sleepy. Until finally...

Zzzzzzzz...........
...will have him get the teddy bear cut soon :D

Style & Beauty: Amethyst Crush (Contact Lenses)

Anyone who knows me is all too familiar with my new-found obsession for colored contact lenses. For about a week now I've been thinking so much about those 'Amethyst' contacts I tried on at EO (Executive Optical). So guess what I did? I gave in to my cravings!

Initially, I thought purple eyes might be too drastic and strange, but as it turns out, it's not what I imagined it would be (I love it!):

Amethyst by Flexwear Colors

This shade of violet is very subtle, and notice the light brown specs. Overall it's a dark, sultry color under dim lighting, and only slightly noticeable under flash. Up close, an ethereal pattern and interesting hue can be noticed.

The Strange Thing About Violet Eyes

Some say there was a time when there was once a race of people with violet eyes. Others say, violet eyes are really just a deeper shade of blue.

Other colors I have a crush on:

Ultramarine by Flexwear Colors

Great for going out. This color shows really well in flash photos and under natural sunlight, as it would have a luminous effect to it. Under dim lighting it could be mistaken for gray or hazel/greenish.

Peppermint by Flexwear Colors
Very natural but adds a beautiful, subtle highlight to naturally dark eyes. This can be worn everyday and complements naturally brown eyes.
